CANVAS
When I accepted my identity as an artist, I began my journey into canvas painting. What draws me to this form of artistic expression is that each canvas becomes a piece of my soul, capable of accompanying you wherever life takes you.
An original canvas I painted of Bad Bunny in 2019 with acrylic paint. This is part of my “X Graffiti” series, where I paint the portrait in black and white and incorporate bright throwies in the background. Bad Bunny is my favorite trap artist I was definitely inspired to paint him. I also painted a mural in this style of him in Bushwick, Brooklyn, after painting this canvas. This piece will look awesome in any home, office or studio.
"Bettie Page X Graffiti" Bettie Page, the original pin-up girl! I painted this canvas in acrylic paint, and the style of this portrait is a classic black and white portrait with a bright vibrant graffiti background.
"Portrait of the Artist as a Tortured Man" Medium: Oil on Canvas Size: 16" x 20" Presented here is a captivating portrayal of Jean-Michel Basquiat, an illustrious American artist with roots in both Haitian and Puerto Rican heritage. Emerging into the limelight through SAMO, a dynamic graffiti partnership in Manhattan's Lower East Side throughout the late 1970s, Basquiat's spirit finds expression within this canvas. Within the framework of my monochromatic portrait collection, I've harnessed the potency of black and white hues to bring forth the essence of the subject. This deliberate choice casts a vivid backdrop, meticulously designed to accentuate the central figure, allowing the vibrant narrative of Basquiat's life to take center stage.
"Home is Where the HeART is" This artwork is an authentic creation, brought to life through my freeform technique using spray paint. The backdrop has been crafted in an abstract manner, skillfully capturing the essence of the cosmos. The palette I chose was a result of deep emotional resonance during the canvas's creation. These hues held a profound significance for me, resonating strongly with my artistic sensibilities at that moment. Regarding its message: "Home is where the heART is." This serves as a reminder that irrespective of the challenges one might be facing, the presence of art in your life guarantees a heart brimming with contentment and solace.
This is the first nude portrait I have painted. Freehand painted in acrylic on stretched canvas. It's a self portrait with the subject praying while seated on and surrounded by the lotus flower, symbolizing purity, rebirth and strength, having surpassed difficult times.
This canvas was commissioned work that I undertook, following the client's request for a lively depiction of a cow in my signature style. As I embarked on this creative journey, I instinctively infused the tones that resonated deeply with the essence of the subject. Guided by the fluid process of blending colors and meticulously applying brushstrokes, the artwork gradually evolved into its full and harmonious form.
"Vigilante" Acrylic on canvas 24" x 30" This canvas portrays Chloe Moretz, depicting her iconic role in the film "Kick-Ass," adapted from the eponymous comic book. Within the movie's narrative, the central character assumes the role of an eleven-year-old, undergoing rigorous training to confront a formidable crime lord, all in the pursuit of safeguarding the common welfare.
"It Was All a Dream" Acrylic on Canvas 18" x 24" SOLD Depiction of Notorious B.I.G., hailed as one of the most legendary rap artists in history.
Aretha Franklin was known as the "Queen of Soul" for her incredible talent as a singer, songwriter, actress, and pianist. She was also a civil rights activist. I painted this canvas in Oil Paint as a homage to her beautiful soul.
"Reina de Guaguanco" Acrylic on canvas 24" x 30" SOLD Captured within this canvas is a depiction of Celia Cruz, celebrated as the Queen of Guaguanco. Originating from Cuba, Celia Cruz's first pair of shoes adorned her feet while she serenaded a tourist with her melodious voice.
"Up in Clouds" Acrylic on Canvas 24" x 24" SOLD Contained within this canvas is a portrayal of Guru, a rapper I hold dear as one of my all-time favorites, yet regrettably underrated.
